Is there anything I should look for when first adding Riaflex products to my pet’s diet?
Like any dietary change, Riaflex can (occasionally) cause mild digestive upset. If this happens, stop using Riaflex, let the digestive system settle down and reintroduce again, starting at ½ the recommended level split between 2 feeds, and building up slowly over 10-14 days. This will allow the digestive system time to adjust to the new dietary element.
Does my product come with a scoop?
Yes. Most of our products come with scoops with the exception of Yea Sacc.
Scoops have a habit of sinking in transit. Please do have a really good poke around and it should pop it back up to the top.
What age can I feed Riaflex from?
Dogs
We recommend that for hard working healthy dogs you look at starting them from the age of 1 - 1½. But if you have a breed pre disposed to issues then feeding a puppy once on solid food, from 12 weeks is also fine, using our Young Dog product.
Horses
For horses we recommend from the age of 3 upwards or once they are backed and in work.
Is my horse or dog going to like how Riaflex tastes?
Most of our supplements are relatively odourless and tasteless and are generally well received by horses and dogs. There is always the possibility of animals turning there nose up, and for those worried about fussy eaters we do offer palatability samples on the website for our most popular products.
Riaflex powders are designed to be simply mixed through damp feed or food or mixed with damp kibble. You can also add it to cream cheese, pate, yoghurt etc, if you want alternative ways of feeding it.
