Equine Boswellia Serrata 65%

Our potent Boswellia is free from FEI Prohibited substances and is much stronger than a standard Boswellia where no Boswellic Acid % is listed.

Boswellia is a type of tree that produces resin. This resin has been shown in humans and animals to have medicinal properties that support mobility and can soothe the digestive and respiratory systems

Boswellic acids are the active part of Boswellia. They closely resemble the chemical structure of steroids, but their actions are different. It is believed they help to inhibit the activity of the enzyme 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX), which in turn helps to support the natural systems that support comfort. Boswellia has also been shown to reduce GAG degradation (such as glucosamine and chondroitin),which are essential nutrients within joints, and in turn helps to maintain joint comfort.

Can Riaflex joint support be used with prescription only medicine?

Our supplements can be used alongside most prescription only medicines (with the exception of Devils Alternative in certain cases). We haven't extensively tested our supplements with all medications so we recommend checking with your vet first. What age can I start feeding joint supplements to my horse?

You can start giving your horse a joint supplement as soon as they are weaned if needed.  We recommend feeding for maintenance from around 3yrs old and sooner if your horse has a specific joint issue in younger years.

Do joint supplements for horses’ work?

Are joint supplements safe for horses?

How soon will I see a difference?

Most horses who require extra support will typically see a difference within around 4 weeks. However all horses requirements differ, and we do recommend that fair representation would be 4-8 weeks of use.

Do I have to feeding a loading dose?

No. Our supplements are effective because we don’t underdose. We provide the correct daily dose level for body weight. For the best results long term our dose level remains the same continuously.
