Unlike standard bovine and marine collagen supplements, UC-II® is a unique form of undenatured Type II collagen that works through a completely different and far more targeted biological pathway. We combine it with manganese and Vitamin C to enhance and maximise joint support.

How does UC-II® work?

UC-II® collagen works via a process called oral tolerance, a natural immune system response that supports joint health from within.

As we age, the immune system can become over reactive and begin to mistakenly target the body’s own cartilage. This low grade immune activity contributes to stiffness, discomfort and cartilage breakdown over time.

When undenatured Type II collagen is taken orally, it interacts with immune cells in the gut. This helps “re-educate” the immune system so it becomes less reactive towards joint cartilage. Clinical studies show that UC-II® collagen can significantly:

Why Type II Collagen Matters?

There are three main types of collagen in the body:

Articular cartilage is made up of approximately 85–90% Type II collagen.
