Hydrolysed Type II collagen provides a source of bioavailable amino acids and peptides that help nourish the building blocks of cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissue. Because it is broken down into smaller fragments, it is easier for your dog’s digestive system to absorb and utilise as part of normal connective tissue maintenance. Unlike Bovine and Marine Collagen, Type 2 hydrolysed specifically targets joint health.

Alongside this, UC-II® (undenatured type II collagen) offers a different, highly targeted approach. Rather than acting as a structural building block, UC-II® works through a unique mechanism that helps preserve cartilage. Rather than being absorbed via the gut, this works through a process called oral tolerance. The immune system sees intact cartilage collagen and learns that it should not attack it. This reduces inflammatory activity inside the joints and slows cartilage destruction.

Can Riaflex joint support be used with prescription only medicine?

Our supplements can be used alongside most prescription only medicines (with the exception of Devils Alternative & Boswellia in certain cases). We haven't extensively tested our supplements with all medications so we recommend checking with your vet first. What age can I start feeding joint supplements to my dog?

You can start giving your dog a joint supplement as soon as they're able to eat solid food, typically around 8 weeks old. The key is to give them the right one for their age and needs. Riaflex joint care range, offers supplements for Young Dogs, Working dogs, and those who need extra support.

How soon will I see a difference?
